Will Hale: Simple Harmony
From Lightworker's Guide to Grounding Energy
There is a commonly held false belief that complicated issues need complicated solutions. You can prove to yourself this is a lie by learning this simple skill right now in the next few minutes. The best way I have found to get grounded and restore harmony is to feel my physical heartbeat. How simple is that! Don’t take my word for it. Try it now! Can you feel your heart beating? It is surprising how often people have a hard time feeling their heart beat even though it is a constant force in our bodies. It is common to associate feeling our heart beat with fear or overexertion. What if feeling your heart beat could be your closest companion, a gentle natural reminder that you are alive, you are safe, feeling rhythm and harmony in every situation?
There is nothing metaphorical, emotional or energetic related to this heart grounding method. The entire focus is direct observation of our physical heartbeat. The countless hidden benefits of this practice are as simple as not having to understand how electricity works to turn on a light switch. It can be easy to feel your heartbeat with your hand on your chest while holding a deep breath. If it is still hard to feel your heartbeat, you can do twenty jumping jacks. You will start to feel your heart beat!
Amazing things happen when you add awareness of your breath with the awareness of your heart beat. Try breathing in rhythmically eight heart beats and breathe out eight heart beats. Practice adding three rhythmic breaths to your daily routine for the next week. With a week of consistent practice, you will begin to personally experience the value of being able to feel your heart beat anytime, anywhere. The synchronized rhythm of our heart beat, breath and mental focus can greatly amplify the experience of harmony and balance in your life. This simple state of being supports increased relaxed confidence and more effective results in our daily activities.
Action triggers are a great way to establish a new skill. You can build a reliable habit of feeling your heartbeat by pre-deciding to focus your attention on your heart related with a specific task. A few examples would be: feeling your heart as soon as you get in the shower or when you get in the car before starting the engine, before eating, or while the computer is booting up. A stable grounded heart breath can easily become your natural every day breath. Once you find your balance you will be able to take off the training wheels and trust the invisible force that beats your heart to be in charge. Enjoy the pleasant process of getting to know your heart. Like swimming, feeling your heart is a lifelong skill you will never lose and could save your life.
